What is the Developer Student Club?
Developer Student Clubs are university-based community groups for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a DSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.
DSC is a Google Developers program for university students, designed to help them build their mobile and web development skills and knowledge. It is open to any student, ranging from novice developers who are just starting, to advanced developers who want to further their skills. It is intended to be a space for students to learn and collaborate as they solve mobile and web development problems.
What is the role of a Developer Student Club Lead?
The lead is just as another lead of any other club in your university but with some extra powers. As this club is a Global community, everyone has access to reach out or connect with people across the globe, learn things together, solve problems together, etc. The main role of the lead is to set up DSC on campus and introduce everyone to it.
Lead can have a team of 4–5 people who can help him in organizing sessions, and workshops for students. DSC is all about learning and sharing your knowledge with fellow mates and see what students are developing and what problem they are solving. Lead can go out and look around for some local organizations that can get some benefits in teams of a speaker or in tech help and sometimes might support your club.
Summing up!
- Set up the Developer Student Club on campus.
- Organize and teach different topics in tech like cloud, Flutter to fellow students.
- Enable more students to be trainers and support them in conducting sessions.
- Host showcases and other sessions to highlight the solutions.

- maintain a decent online presence over Linkedin, Twitter, and Github.
- Having a personal portfolio will also help you a lot.
- Prior contribution and Experience in community and part of the DSC community of your campus if you have.
- A piece of good technical knowledge adds a lot
